This is a newer huipil from the village of Patzun where the traditional Patzun huipil is on a red base cloth with hand-embroidered flowers. Some of the younger generation is continuing the tradition but with new colors. The base cloth is woven on a back-strap loom and the flowers are all hand-embroidered. There are some loose threads on this piece but it is in good shape and quite charming. 22" long from shoulder to bottom - sewn with small arm holes which are very simple to take a few stitches out to make larger. Across huipil measures 25". Both sides of huipil are shown.
