Nahuala, Guatemala 24" long on each side x 32" wide Wonderful old (1970's - 80's) Nahuala huipil made of 2 backstrap woven panels featuring traditional motifs including peacocks. This huipil reflects the unique Nahualá practice of deliberately choosing threads that bleed onto the white base cloth. The pinkish tone that results is the desired effect. Both sides of the huipil have the peacock design and both sides are pictured.
