Chichicastenango huipil 2

Chichicastenango huipil consisting of 3 back-strap woven panels on a dark brown cotton base cloth.  Birds and geometric designs are woven into the huipil.  Both sides have the same design (both sides pictured).    This is a vintage huipil in great condition.  Beautiful weaving!  Ample neck opening.

Huipil is 32" across and 22" long on each side - shoulder to bottom of garment.  Armholes are stitched.  There is knotted fringe at the bottom of both sides.
