This is a traditional huipil from Nebaj, Guatemala. This is a vintage huipil woven on a back-strap loom with the very traditional horses, birds, people (with hats) and plants that are woven into the pattern. It is very soft. The blue/green base cloth has some fading and there are a few loose threads in the intricate weave but this is a wonderful example of a Nebaj huipil. Neck opening is ample. Sides are open and huipil measures 27" across and 47" long (23 1/2" each side). Both sides of huipil are shown.
