This is a very fine example of a traditional huipil from San Juan Sacatepequez, Guatemala. These are the traditional colors of San Juan and if you look closely you can see the peacocks that are woven into the design. Very nice piece and in good condition for it's age - approximately 40 to 50 years. Both sides are shown. 22" from shoulder to bottom of huipil and 44" wide so it drapes nicely over the arms like a cape.
