Alebrijes are a traditional craft of Oaxaca, Mexico. They are brightly painted sculptures of fantastical creatures carved from copal wood. This beautiful lizard is made by the well-known Fuentes family in Oaxaca. Their work is very fine. Beautiful carving and paint. 7" long x 6" wide.
