Alebrijes are a traditional craft of Oaxaca, Mexico. They are brightly painted sculptures of fantastical creatures carved from copal wood. This beautiful lizard is made by the Esteban Hernandez family in Oaxaca. Their work is very fine. Beautiful carving and paint. 7" long x 6" wide.
