Vintage Chichicastenango corte with hand-embroidered adornment

Very traditional Chichicastenango corte with hand-embroidered randa (adornment) with birds and flowers.  Very nice ikat design in the weaving.  There are loose threads in the embroidery but this is an excellent example of a traditional Chichi corte - it is approximately 40 years old.   If it were opened at the seams, it would be 94" x 28".
