Nahuala vintage huipil

This huipil is approximately 30 years old.  Traditional weaving design of animals and birds.  Here lions and birds are woven into the fabric.  The purple bleeding of the dyes is the desired effect.  If you don't want to wear it, these pieces make wonderful pillows, purses, or as I did... sewed a lion on the back of my blue jean jacket which I get tons of compliments on!  30" wide x 29" long on each side (seams are sewn closed on the sides)
